Anyone know where I might be able to find the Illinois Central blueprint number H96 from 1928? Any later revision would be fine too - I've got the revision log for it. It's for a 28' wood caboose.

**EDIT** Fixed a typo - I had written it as Ohio Central.

Toledo & Ohio Central? Maybe the New York Central System Historical Society:

Well, that just goes to show you what happens when you post a question late at night when tired. That was a typo. It's supposed to be the Illinois Central.

**EDIT** Corrected the title. Sorry about that, folks!

Anyway, I'm looking for a way to get Illinois Central Mechanical Department drawing H96 from 1928. It's the external views of a 28' wood caboose.

Tyrok -

Clue us in. Is this for a IC caboose restoration? Or a model of the caboose? Or just what?

Another "virtual rebuild" computer model, like the NYC&HRR 4-4-0 I posted about a while back (while is coming along, but still not finished yet). I've got old IC Mechanical Dept. drawings of the cross sections and floor plan, and I've been able to build a good portion of the inside already to accuracy within 1/32". Each board is a separate virtual part - you could disassemble it piece-by-piece if you wanted to and see how it was put together. I haven't gotten to the stage of adding fasteners like I have with the 4-4-0, but when I do, each nut, bolt, and washer should a separate part as well. I'd like to be able to build the outside surface to the same degree of accuracy.
