Post subject:  Burglary at Hesston Steam Museum

Snipped verbatim from a posting in a Steam Whistles Yahoo Group:

"Our locomotive shop was broken into last weekend and taken was 3 whistles. 2 are identical with balanced valves piped to them. These are 3 chime NYC air whistles originally off old box cab electrics they sold to the South Shore RR. The other was a 3 chime Southern RR replica built for me by MD Whistles [Mike Daugherty]. It is unique in that it has straight openings and not curved, one of two MD made like that.

The other items were 2 Pyle National classification lights and a small brass locomotive bell.

We are trying to get the word to people who may be contacted to purchase these items. If you are contacted please get a phone number and let me know. We are not posting to groups yet so the thieves feel free to sell the items.

Thanks for your understanding and help with this matter.
