For those playing along at home, the Jim Crow car mentioned in the article is the former center-door Jim Crow Combine owned by L&N subsidiary the Glasgow Railroad, and it carried the number 109. The car is similar in construction to the other L&N Jim Crow combines, of which 2 or 3 survive, including 665 at the Kentucky Railway Museum, and at least one in Canada.

The volunteers have their work cut out for them, as the car is/was in very very rough shape the last time I saw it, with very little remaining. I wish them luck.
