Be prepared for a LOT more of the same kind of spam. In the past two to four weeks, "comment spam" has literally overtaken many major newspaper and pundit-blog comment sections at an epic scale, forcing many to change the way and manner in which commentary is approved and causing a ten-fold increase in "comment" traffic at some newspaper sites. I'm also seeing way too many folks "suggesting" links and topics for the blog, website, and Yahoo groups I administrate/run. Amusingly enough, I'm told that similar "spam" has all but shut down a couple noted pornography and sex-advice websites, as rogue porno websites (many of them with links carrying Trojan horse viruses to boot) overwhelm the comments or forums with links and photos.........

On average, RYPN sees about 180 bogus, spam registrations (and disapproves them) for every legitimate registration we get. We sometimes blow it, and approve registrations that aren't legitimate, hence the spam the John removed.
