Hi to all
We made excellent progress over the last two days, and the North side is almost complete, we need to manufacture window corner retaining posts these hold the top windows in position as well and seal everything up. We found some old items in the walls a joke marriage certificate from 1906, and kids toys and bottle tops /clothes pegs from the 50's or 60's. No sign of any lining under the paint or numbers on the sides, we think therefore that the 1906 rebuild and paint dispensed with lining.
Take a look at

Also we have had great success emailing companies and getting free products to help us, we had $500 of filler and hardener from Minwax, unending glue supply from Tite bond, boxes of wood filler from quikwood, all for the cost of an email and some pictures.

Thank you for keeping us abreast of your progress and posting the photos. They help tell the story of your research and the restoration.

Lookin' good! The slide sideways onto a modular home frame brought back memories of when I used to set and finish modular homes. Will she ever go back on the rails?

Later!

Yes she will go back on rails.....if we can ever find trucks to suit. The plan is that she will be moved down to the UP depot on 15th st in Cheyenne, and then be placed in a purpose built building.

Thanks

Mike
