What a great story. Fred was truly lucky to have found the museum. It is easy to understand the situation was less than idea but it worked out. I am sure there are other guys out there in a like situation. I hope one day if I am there some kind railroad volunteers will find something for me to do.

Very nice story. One of the things I advocate is that part of what we are doing should be about the people doing the work and not all just for the cause. The folks at Mid Continent obviously get it. In truth nearly all, if not all, the organizations I been around have had at least one Fred around. TVRM has also been known to run funeral trains. I feel it is the least we can do for those who give so much.
