It is a shame that people need to vandalize things. At the Connecticut Trolley Museum, we have had to change the way we hang some of our Christmas Light Strings because on one short section of our line, if they could be reached, they would be cut. As it is, we had to repair or replace grounding wires to three light strings this year. Wish you best of luck cleaning up and repairing your Christmas Display.

I think this says something more, you can rip a display, but you can't rip the heart.
