Remember the Magellan in the Carolinas who managed to navigate his Clark Griswold station wagon smack into the middle of a New Hope Valley Railroad tourist train? Well, the video has reached web infamy: it's today's featured blunder on FailBlog, a wildly popular purlieu for college students, workers bored in their cubicles and those otherwise lacking fulfillment in life that showcases the more "special" side of the world: http://failblog.org/2009/12/24/railroad-crossing-fail/

Disclaimer: For the faint of heart or those otherwise easily offended, the rest of this site is not for you.

With almost 125,000 hits on youtube and an appearance on Attack of the Show, I'm surprised it took so long for it to hit failblog.

Merry Christmas, and happy prescription meds!

Been wondering that myself. How people cannot see a slow moving passenger train in fornt of them baffles me. I saw a near miss just like this twice this year at the nearest steam operation near my home (won't name names). Once, i was sitting stopped at the crossing waiting for it to pass and a lady coming the opposite direction just rolled on through as if it wasn't there!

How about:
Yakking on cell phone
Tending to unruly children

These were reasons for two crossing accidents that I can recall.
