Those of you who are with non-profit, volunteer organizations may want to look into signing up as a "Volunteer Opportunity Provider" in the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" program. The Trolley Museum of New York signed up as a VOP and we already have over 50 respondents since the program opened on Jan 1. Disney (and ABC Television--a division of Disney) are advertising the program heavily. There are of course some caveats to be in the program, not the least of which is providing organized family-oriented volunteer activities and the recording of people's hours. If you qualify and get organized, this could be a huge bonanza of new volunteers! |
