I am forwarding this to all who read this board and other friends that knew him from railfanning. Below is some information about Rodger from his friends. Dale Brown CRRC member Summerail presenter Memorial services for Roger will be as follows: 11:00am Friday at Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf Funeral Home 3900 Montgomery Road Norwood, OH 45212 513-631-2240 Further details to follow. Please post up and pass freely to more of Roger's friends Many of you may remember Roger Rassche. I'm writing to let everyone know that he passed from this world this afternoon at 12:57pm at his home in Woodlawn. Memorial services will be later this week at Kleb-Naegle-Illendorf funeral home on Montgomery Road in the Norwood, specific date and time to follow. He was a former CRRC member and knower of all things rail, both domestic and international. His interests weren't limited to rail, however. His knowledge and passion for automobiles, architecture, industry and, as he put it 'clanky-bits', was astounding. What's more, he could cross-reference all this data in his head, largely on the fly. I've never known anyone remotely like him and doubt I ever will again. It was my honor to call him friend. Please remember he and his family in your prayers. As Roger's friend and contact base inside and outside the community was so vast, no one of us has all of those lists. Please pass the word to folks who knew Rog who are not on the list. Memorial Mass @ 11:00am Friday, Jan 22, 2010 Holy Trinity Church 2420 Drex Avenue Norwood, OH 45212 Reception immediately following in the church under-croft. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roger Rassche Memorial Fund at any US Bank branch office. |

Dale, I'm sorry but that info has been updated. What you posted is what I initially told everyone and Naegele, Kleb & Ihlendorf is the funeral home, but the correct location for the memorial is as follows: Memorial Mass @ 11:00am Friday, Jan 22, 2010 Holy Trinity Church 2420 Drex Avenue Norwood, OH 45212 Reception immediately following in the church under-croft. |
