Does anyone know where DEEX #008 and #010, the Detroit Edison U-30C locomotives may have ended up?

Didn't one of them get painted up in Burlington Red for a photo shoot before getting scrapped? Or am I thinking of a different locomotive?

Yes, but that was Detroit Edison 011.

About 2 years ago when i was down at Ohio Centrals Morgan Run shop there were 2-3 of those DEEX U30-C's sitting on one of the tracks east of the shop building.I can't remember now what the numbers of those were now? When i was there i asked one of the OC guy's if they were ex DEEX engines and he said that they were.Maybe someone else here knows what the numbers of those units were?

From what I can determine from a casual online search:

Ohio Central got DEEX 009 and 011, as well as their SW1's 211 and 212, in 2005, and supposedly renumbered them 9009 and 9011.
The original poster was specifically inquiring about 008 and 010, which if online sources are to be believed were the last two retained by Detroit Edison as in-plant switchers at Monroe, Michigan after disposition of the rest of the U30C fleet. Supposedly three others were retained at the same time; these would probably include the 009 and 011 sold to OC, leaving one other unaccounted for out of that fleet. Other U30C locos disposed of earlier went to Helm Leasing, one to Guilford, three to Helm by way of Guilford, and five to Lake Superior & Ishpeming for parting out. All the foamer sites are reporting the 008 and 010 as still at Monroe, so if these locos have been disposed of, it was probably very recently, and I have no up-to-date data.
