This came through on my steam news rss feed. Once you get past the annoying pop up ad the article is pretty interesting. This is on my to-do list for sure.

I'd do it sooner than later. While the short & spectacular segment from Esquel to Nahuel Pan has trains a couple days a week, the rest of the 251 mile line has virtually no traffic. I've been there several times & it's always an adventure. Derailments & having the locos run out of fuel in the middle of the vast Patagonia are just two of the adventures.

Those Baldwin mikes are certainly sweet little locomotives.

Last I heard 3 Baldwins are servicable. None of the Henschels, though.
