Interesting article on CNN.com today...

Not directly related to railroad preservation but interesting nontheless. Between these folks and the seemingly increasing popularity of the "Steampunk" genre, it seems like a perfect market for railroad preservation organizations to cater to, or to try to tap for potential volunteers.

I could point you to some oddly japanese thing but its not right for here.

The gaming community has a popular download service called "Steam"

http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/arcanum_ ... ck_obscura

Acanum is a role playing game in a world of magic and industrial revolution

Theres a steampunk Worlds Fair

http://steampunkworldsfair.com/

It might be an idea for museums to go there and have some display tables to show off the museums and promote them.

and get this...

a customized computer keyboard.

Its about what I would expect to see in an old 20-30's freight station with a high tech zing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazil_%28film%29

Terry Gilliams (Monty Python animator) Brazil film goes into a Retro-Future adventure

Its an interesting concept to try to tap into and breath life in an ailing circumstance.
