Post subject:  Red Springs and Northern FM Switcher
If I remember right, this locomotive was sold on ebay a few years ago.

A quick google search yielded that the RS&N had some Christmas trips scheduled. I wonder if it is used in excursion service. There are not many FM diesels running, maybe one at IRM.

Is this a former North Carolina Ports engine?

Didn't the Ohio Central buy one of them?

The photographic evidence points to this being former Yankeetown Docks RR #1, which was supposedly sold to the Pickens RR and then North Carolina Ports RR as their #1801.

The others: http://www.nctrans.org/exhibits/rail_equipment1.php gives you the ex-Beaufort & Morehead H12-44, former 1860.

Ohio Central supposedly got 1802 (ex-Yankeetown Docks #2) and 1852 (ex-Beaufort & Morehead), both from NCPR via eBay.
