Hi, Just a note to those who might be interested. I just learned that Baumann's Scrap Iron & Metal 311 Main St. in Carbondale PA has a large quainty of smaller inside bearing mine cars. If you're interested you'll have to act quickly, as they plan to cut them up in the next couple weeks. I haven't seen them and they didn't know what gage they were, but she said they were rather on the small side. If you're serious contact Marge at (570)-282-2940. These are likley the cars mentioned in a previous post as being at Childs PA. M.Nix http://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bhsm/toh/eckley/eckley.asp?secid=14 2rivers@upstel.net |

If there is a chance that these cars were used in the Molly Maguire film then they may be 4' gauge. The locomotive, a Vulcan, is indeed 4' gauge and now resides at the NJ Museum of Tranportation. We gave it a home about 2 years ago along with the Carroll Park and Western coaches. All of which is 4' gauge. We have since bought 3' gauge trucks for the cars. In fact if someone has a use for stretched EBT Vulcan trucks give us a call. I believe we have pictures of the engine on our web site at www.njmt.org J.R. > Hi, > Just a note to those who might be > interested.
