A friend sent me this and I thought it was worth sharing. There is a quick shot of Southern 635 at about the 5 minute mark. I thought it was worth 11 minutes to see video of actual troop trains rolling. http://www.archive.org/details/TroopTra1943 |

I think that there was a NC&StL locomotive too. The markings I could see on the tender of the locomotive backing up to the circus ramp looked like the NC herald. Shot didn't include the locomotive's stack, so it's not conclusive. |

I think there was one, too. at about 7:48 in the video, you could see that Vandy tender and the crown on the stack, as well as some other details that were distinctly not Southern. Also there's some SP and I think UP steam in that video as well. |
