20 locos, 9 Milwaukee, 5 brazil, 2 south shore?

South Shore had 3, 803 retired for parts.

wheres the rest? 3 left over.

803 looks like it has all of its parts painted and put together at IRM.

The Milwaukee Road had 12. 12+3+5=20.

I stand corrected, ONE of them retired for parts, must be 801, trying to locate data on it, I tend to think it was scrapped.

Yes, the 801 was cannibalized for parts to keep the other two running, and was out of service by 1975 or so. I'm not sure when it was actually scrapped. Somewhere I've got a slide or two of it on the rip track at Michigan City, but my slide scanner is kaput.

The electric loco in Brazil pictured on flickr is not a "Little Joe" but another built by GE around the same time on an original order for Brazil. It's a 2-C+C-2 whereas the "Joes" are 2-D+D-2.

The road numbers of the real "Little Joes" in Brazil are 6451-6455.

The photo in the adjacent thumbnail (of No. 4455) is a Little Joe, albeit with a modified headlight casing.
