Is the trolley mentioned in this article a "lost" car? I can't find a listing in the Frank Hicks' roster nor any details in a Google search.

The official Trolley Square website has some great historic photos that are worth checking out:

I lived in Salt Lake City for my last US Army assignment on the former Fort Douglas--1997 & 1998. Needless to say I visited the Trolley Square mall many times. I can't remember now where I heard this, but IIRC the car out in front of the former carbarn/shop complex was a reproduction and not original. There is also a streetcar replica inside the mall in the Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant.

Maybe a local SLC historian can confirm all this if there is one who monitors this board.

My going away/retirement lunch was at a restaurant located on Emigration Canyon road about a mile or two east of the Pioneer state park. The front of the restaurant was built around a former Salt Lake and Utah Rwy interurban car. I didn't know it was there until my office colleagues brought me there. I was so surprised that I didn't write down the car number or take a photo or two.

Thanks!
