I came upon this on youtube. I've only recently became aware of this very unusual locomotive.

I did a google search and found a number of preserved Sentinel trucks but not any locomotives.

A little more on the Brazillian Sentinel, from the International Working Steam website:

http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/tra ... rica04.htm

There is one in Malaysia, two in India, one in Iraq, one in Venezuela. A Sentinel Railcar is running in Sri Lanka; another railcar is also preserved there. Three Sentinel railcars are preserved in Australia, another Sentinel railcar is perserved in Argentina. Five more railcars that were converted to diesel are in Peru; two were operational.

The Sentinel steam trucks were built by the same firm. Recently, someone even took the steam power plant from a Sentinel locomotive and mounted it in a modern truck; creating a large and more modern Sentinel steam truck.
