| Post subject: | Steam locomotive in transit in Southern Ontario |
I did not see this myself, but my father said he saw a steam locomotive on a flatbed, eastbound on the 401 highway in Southern Ontario near London this afternoon. He thought it was a Mogul or Ten-wheeler of some sort with a "small, round tender", assuming he means a Vanderbilt tender. I don't think it was a Canadian locomotive, but I'm wondering if it was an American locomotive taking a short cut through Canada from Michigan to New York State. Anybody have any ideas what it was? |
