I find it interesting that the locomotives appear a bit undersized for the gauge they are built. It appears it could just as well be narrowed to 18" gauge. Here is a virtually identically proportioned locomotive on the Sand Hutton railway:

Welsh engines were sometimes small like this, but it also may be a trait of the builder. A number of Exmoor 15" gauge locomotives have been narrowed to 10 1/4" gauge.

It is also of note that a significant portion of the fleet of 22 3/4" gauge quarry Hunslets were imported to the US and Canada in the 1960s. I don't know of one that operates. Can anyone inform us about the fate of the 3 engines in Terre Haute, Indiana?

This operation sounds a lot like Brookins Trolleyville USA in the way it's a private tourist railway operating around a trailer park (although Columbia Park was - and still is - a full-time mobile home park). If there aren't provisions made for them in any estate sale, the live steam club could find themselves without a home someday - like the Trolleyville collection did. Fortunately, it doesn't look like any incredibly rare and valuable artifacts are kept there.
