Post subject:  1st Generation EMD Class Lights

Hi All-

I'm trying to find some photos of the class lights (inside and out) on a EMD SD7/9 or GP7/9. Currently, I am in the process of restoring the remains of a set, but they are so trashed (and the fact that they were plated over by the railroad), that there isn't much to work with.

Also would like to know if the class light assembly from a F7 would be similar to the ones used in the SDs and GPs.

Thanks for any help in advance!

The outside glass lens part is the same on most F units, GP7/9 and SD7/9. Part number and reference drawing can be found in an EMD "90" catalog.
