From reading the ad, it looks like it is primarily being sold for the lot (nearly $270K for less than 900 sq. ft. of house is a bit excessive, even for New England). So, it looks like the car body inside the house is threatened. Question now is if it is worth trying to get from purchaser before it is demolished for new dwelling for preservation. Anybody familiar with the inside of this house and how much of the original car is left?

The online tour of the inside of the house seems to indicate the platform on the driveway side is still intact. The wall facing the street has the carbody behind it. I am sure the realtor would be glad to arrange a tour. If the clerestory is intact, and the interior wall has not been completely removed, then I would suspect this is as good as anyone might find for a re-used trolley car of this vintage. I think extracting it would make a good "This Old House" episode. It would be interesting if some of the rock walls could be preserved.

Who would be interested in saving it, if it were worthwhile? Seashore? Shelburne Falls? Salisbury Point? David Woodbury or his clone?
