Does anyone know what the history of these cars might be?

They're located at the Texas State Railroad and look like Texas Electric or Northern Texas Traction interurban freight trailers, but I was curious whether there's any solid information on their origins. Thanks!

They are both Texas Electric Freight trailers. They came out of a barn in Plano that was torn down in sections. there were five there....two went to the Texas State in about 1989, and one other and a freight motor went to Van Alstyne. I believe one car was scrapped.

Mr. Templin is correct. They are both Texas Electric freight trailers found in a pole barn. I believe his other info to be correct as well. I recall them being "discovered" prior to the "discovery" of the Crimson Limited cars on Eagle Mountain Lake in 1995. I did not have time to review the images, however, will do so later. I took some photos of the cars shortly following their arrival at Texas State.

Thanks to both of you for the information! It's much appreciated. Does anyone know whether these cars are retained by TSRR as part of the historic collection, or are they simply convenient storage? Also, are there any records including their numbers on TE?
