Twenty five years ago when we bought our F unit EMD drawings including paint diagrams were readily available direct from EMD for a standard cost. Since then the La Grange facility was closed. Were these old EMD records that apparently included all these styling drawings from the early cab units donated or saved by some archive?
Would be a shame to have lost this treasure.

About 1400 EMD paint scheme drawings are preserved by the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) in the Bruce Meyer Collection. Nowadays is is very difficult to get any drawings from EMD to assist preservation projects.

An interesting little sidebar to history - one of the discussion items at a management meeting held in 1947 was whether to establish a museum and archive. The item apparently got shelved.
