Railway Foundation Car

At the Springfield (Mass) Model Train Show, I came across a photo of a passenger car, stenciled for the Great North East Railroad Foundation.

Has anyone heard of this group before?

The location of the photo, IIRC, was `up state New York', it was also a bad color photo, faded, showing a medium olive green for the car body.

Unfortunately I didn't pick it up, only made a mental note of it.

HI Iam not sure but I think this is the group that has the mex. 4-8-4 now at new hope. bb

That's correct, the Great North Eastern Railroad Foundation does own NdeM 3028 at New Hope.
I haven't been able to find any more info on the group. Still searching...

And.... we're back. April, 2010. Is this group still around? Is there any information about the group and if not, who claims ownership of the NdeM 3028 at New Hope?
