WW&F Ry No 10 pauses at Humason Trestle on a warm and sunny spring morning. First steam-up of the season, in Maine!

Image

The occasion was this year's spring steam up, which has become an annual Easter-time event at the WW&F Museum. This year a photographers special was run first thing in the morning, with regular passenger trains beginning at noon. With the snow long gone, and temperatures in the 70's, families came out to ride the train and hunt for Easter eggs...and trains were at capacity all day!

A terrific start to this season!

Stephen

What a beautiful spring photo. It is the perfect replacement for my winter wallpaper, which was the Victorian Christmas train photo by you.
Thanks,

Nothing like a long exposure in full daylight. I have always loved that effect, it gives a great "old time" feel!

Is it just a long exposure, or is it also HDR? Looks like some tone mapping going on, which also gives the effect mentioned.
