are the F units working the CZRy based in Campo, California the last working F units on a common carrier railroad?

I think VIA still has a couple on the roster, and Ohio Central uses their F-units in both freight and passenger service. There are probably a couple more so I doubt Campo is the last one.

VIA does still use a handful of F units. I saw 4 or 5 of them lined up on their shop track in Mimico, Ontario just last week. I think they are used on remote lines in northern Ontario and in the western provinces. I see one on the Canadian every once-in-a-while as a third unit.

Canadian Pacific also uses a couple of F-units for their "Royal Canadian" train in the Rockies painted in their old 1950s paint scheme.

They are slowly being phased out by GE P-42s but on a visit to Harmon-Croton engine terminal over christmas, there were at least half a dozen or so idling outside the shops. I've also spotted others here and there (in New Haven livery) around New Haven and Bridgeport and Hartford with 2 and 3 car trains. Shore Line east, which runs commuter service on the Northeast Corridor between New London and New Haven also has at least one or two, also in New Haven paint.

I believe the Southern Railroad of New Jersey uses an F7 in regular service, painted in an NYO&W like scheme.

As for passengers, does Montreal still use F-units? I know they were rostered there into the late 1990's.

Wasn't there a post some time ago about the Tarantula in Ft. Worth backing their F unit into an auto at a grade crossing? AS I recall, they were using it in reverse moving frieght on what passes for their main line.

I hear management there has changed since, did they keep the "F"?
