The Delaware Historical Society will present: “Almost as fast as birds can fly: the railroad in Delaware history” May 7, 2010 – March 26, 2011 Delaware History Museum 504 Market Street ♦ Wilmington, DE 19801 A special exhibition on the Delaware railroad industry past and present. And its influence on the state’s economy, culture and communities. A second spring event is happening in the First State. See below: Hi - I'm inviting you to a special event. Free and open to the public - but you have to register in advance to attend so we'll know how many people to get ready for. Wednesday, May 19th, at the Delaware History Museum at 504 Market Street, 19801. Friends of the Furness Railroad District's Annual Meeting 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Cash bar and Hors d'oeuvres and tour the Delaware Historical Society's new exhibition: "Almost As Fast As Birds Can Fly: The Railroad in Delaware." 6:30 - 6:45 p.m. Short Annual Meeting upstairs in the Copeland Room 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. Special illustrated lecture: Albert J. Giannantonio presents...
