Below are a few photos of the Spartanburg depot taken just a few weeks ago and where this new museum will be housed. This Amtrak depot is used twice a day for the Crescent and is in far better shape than many. The day I was there, everything was locked up except the side used for police but that was before the grand opening.

I hope this museum is well received and visited.

The Hub City Railroad Museum held its Grand Opening Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Amtrak Depot, 298 Magnolia Street, Spartanburg, SC. Regular Museum hours will be 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesdays and 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M Saturdays. Admission is free. A small gift shop is located in the lobby and donations are gladly accepted.
