KRM experienced significant damage in from flooding this weekend. Their web page is reporting the Museum is closed until Monday, May 10, 2010. All train rides have been cancelled and all exhibits have been closed. The museum/depot building was not flooded, but the model train center was in the flood path and feared to be a total loss. Large portions of the tracks and some bridges going to Boston will fixed and several pieces of equipment have damage.

Video of the damage is available on Louisville channel 3's website at http://www.wave3.com/global/category.as ... start=true

Sad news. Floods suck. Wilmington and Western recovered from two major floods so it's not impossible.

The flimsies recently posted a story about 550 passengers being rescued from a flooded Nashville tourist train of the "Middle Tennessee Central Railroad Museum". That is pretty dramatic. That was near the center of the storm, hope it is OK.
