Not sure of the condition, but $1,000 seems like a pretty good deal for a caboose, unless it was a total rust bucket.

Confusing,,,
They spent a goodly chunk of the last 18 months "cleaning house" and adding cabooses so they can run caboose trains,, and now they're selling off cabooses as well ??

According to the article they sold one (the one mentioned in the article) before having a change of heart and deciding to keep the rest for a caboose train.

That's solely based on what the paper says, so it may or may not be accurate.

Pity that East Troy didn't sell off their Green Bay interurban car for a thousand bucks rather than destroying it last year.
