It took a LOT of work to get it ready for interchange, but as I type, the Conrail Historical Society's Caboose, N7E 21165, is on its way to Strasburg PA for Conrail Days.

This looks like a former Erie Lackawanna caboose. Can you tell us its EL number?

Yep, the '165 was indeed an ex EL car. In fact, when you get up close, you can see the diamond and the stripes slowly working their way through the blue.

I believe she was E-692 before coming to CR.

It came back to Middletown on H-23 Thursday 5/27 and was in caboose hop service on the M&H over Memorial Day weekend.
