Howdy folks, I am looking to find a modern day paint code for DRGW's gold. To be specific: This is the color http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 76&nseq=12 or http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=330765 I tried to trace the former Duco codes at my supplier but with no luck. It came up to a fleet leasing color, an awful shade of yellow (30$ wasted on a shot in the dark). Anyone here from Heber know what was used? A code would be wonderful. I dont care about the brand or type of paint used. Thanks, Paul |

Paul: After re-reading your post, I'm not clear if you have the former Duco D&RGW paint codes, or are trying to find them and have had no luck. Just in case you have not yet found the Duco codes, try the website link shown below. I have it saved in my favorites and don't remember where or how I found it. It may have even been from an old RYPN thread. I can't vouch for it's accuracy, but it looks pretty good. It does show Duco codes for D&RGW "Grande Gold" as well as yellow. http://www.railfonts.com/Reference/paint_cross.pdf |

I did indeed have the Duco codes. I bought them with me to my supplyer, he spoke with Dupont and couldn't get a match to a current code. |

One way to do it is to print the picture and take it to your local paint shop. They can scan it into their computer and it will match the color scanned. You are at the mercy of your printer but it might be worth a shot. Later! Mr. Ed |
