Post subject:  B&O passenger service

Can anyone please tell me about B&O passenger
train between Beardstown and Springfield, Illinois? The time period would be back around
the 1930's and 40's. I can remember some kind of
service daily between the two cities with B&O using a one or two car train. It was called the
eighter the "Peanut" or "Puddle jumper" by the
locals. Was this track the same one that B&O had
between B-town and Shawneetown, Illinois?
