The Texas Electric Depot in Plano IS NOT the last, as the station in Anna, north of Plano, is still extant(bay window and all), in private hands. The current owners are looking at several ways to incorporate its history in its future use.BTW the station in Melissa, although heavily altered, was only just razed this past summer. As to Reader 108, it ran regularly until Mr. Long closed shop in May of 1973, and worked on some of the scrapping effort between DeWoody and Waterloo. |

I think there are several TE structures still in existence including Hillsboro and the Interurban Terminal in downtown Dallas. They may not know everything about the TERy, but they're learning and doing a good job of looking after the depot and RPO car. Plano is the site of the 2002 ARM Convention and the interurban museum is a few blocks from the convention hotel. We are looking at having one of the events at the depot site.
