Is the streetcar in the photo from the Museum of Transportation? Could it be St. Louis Public Svc. 742? |

They have 2 trolleys. Both are on static display now, but they plan to use them on the Loop Trolley line when it gets up and running. Both cars are Peter Witts from Milan, Italy. They were probably acquired from the GOMACO Trolley Company, which imported them from Milan. Tim Davis Detroit, MI |

Thanks for the update. That would explain why they're not in the Preserved North American Electric Railway Cars data base. Unless Milan used a red and white paint job at some time, they've been repainted into St. Louis colors (home of the Cardinals, after all). If this project does come to fruition, it would be like "old home week for those of us who have ridden Muni's Milano trams. |
