Post subject:  Northwestern Pacific Railroad historical Society find

Folks,
The Northwestern Pacific Railroad Historical Society has been around for many years as a paper historical society. Now however they have gotten into rolling stock preservation in a big way.

After restoring a pair of wooden cabooses they have now taken on a couple of 19th century car bodies that have been housing since the 1930s.

The passenger car is a real old timer: NWP 123 ex Central Pacific 1121 ex CP29 built by the Wason Manufacturing Company at Springfield, Massachusetts in 1861.

I have two questions for this group. Where would I go for a roster of early Central Pacific passenger cars? And is there an archive of papers for the early years of the Wason Manufacturing company anywhere?

for further information and pictures see the recent issues of their bymonthly Headlight newsletter.
