The book says to use mineral oil, is this the current practice? Looking to see what others are using.

Westinghouse Air Brake built both steam and electric air compressors. Many of the electric compressors in seervice in musuems use GST 86. At WRM we use GST 100 as our ambient temperatures run higher than most other museums. I do not know what the steam compressors are using.

The air compressor crank case oil is changed every other year. GST is "gas and steam turbine" oil.
