I am looking to find a good home for a stationary steam engine and a couple of dozen books that are mostly related to stationary boilers and power plants. None of the books are specific to railroads or locomotives but a lot of the technology is directly related. There are books about combustion, boiler design, water treatment, refractory, etc... I have too much stuff and need to get these things into good homes. You need to be able to come to Delaware and get the stuff. The books are all boxed up and I simply don't have time to unbox them and make a list so you get to be surprised when you dig through them. The stationary engine is missing an eccentric rod so it will not run as is.

I would prefer someone who is going to put them to good use. I posted here before and had a couple of bites but no takers. Let me know via PM.

How big is the stationary steam engine? Are we talking a little guy, or one that needs a foundation that's 10 feet deep for the flywheel?

The stationary engine stands about four feet high with it's flyball governor. I would guess it to be about 250 LBS.

I was interested in the engine but alas, no time to come to Delaware to pick it up. :( Its a nice little bottle frame engine I believe.
