The Green Mountain RR's to-be-scrapped ex-Central Vermont flanger (called a scraper car on CV) has been saved by a private owner and moved to behind the ex-B&M depot at Putney, Vermont. This leaves only the ex-CV heavyweight Pullman bunk car in the endangered category. The latter was fitted out as living quarters. Photos of the flanger move can be seen at link below.

That is good news. I was just up there about a month ago and got a few photos of the flanger and the plow, and what was left of the Rutland combine. I was pretty surprised to hear that the plow found a home first, since the flanger appeared to be in somewhat better shape, so it's nice to hear the flanger was saved too. Now what's the story with the ex-B&M wood baggage car? Did it find a home, or are they holding on to it for now?
