Fire has destroyed five historic buildings at the ghost town of St. Elmo, Colorado. It is unclear if any were directly related to the Denver, South Park & Pacific RR. St. Elmo is located at the eastern approach to the long-abandoned Alpine Tunnel. http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1002,53%257E529720,00.html bobyar2001@yahoo.com |

Some good ghost town photos and links here, including Como roundhouse and Ludlow, Colo., site of Rockefeller's infamous Ludlow Massacre of striking miners. http://www.ghosttowngallery.com/ bobyar2001@yahoo.com |
