Thanks for posting the newsletter. I visited Ft. Smith in 2007 and rode their Birney. I was impressed by the Hot Springs car and am glad to that it's getting close to operation. Looks like the great Ohio trolley dispersion helped their cause considerably. They even have something for those not particularly interested in railway history. I arrived before the volunteer motorman showed up, and met an assortment of friendly cats who appreciated petting and skritching.

My daughter and I drove through Ft Smith in early January 2010 on a cross country drive (she needed a car in Maryland... we had a car in California...)

I was impressed. They had the Birney out... sitting by the history museum. We walked about the car house... saw the work in progress.

They have much to brag about.
