The Illinois Rwy Museum has posted it's entire archive of the Rail & Wire Publication, ie the museum newsletter, online. Dating back to Issue #1, Feb 1957, it's a fascinating look at the museum's origins, growth, and expansion. I personally find it interesting to read chronologically, it almost reads like a novel as various things happen (plot twists if you will), characters emerge (plenty of those), and the tale of so many pieces of equipment is told. And the best part, it's a never-ending story !

You'll note there is no issue #37, my understanding is that there is no missing issue, simply a case of mis-numbering the issues that was never corrected/adjusted.

Thank you to the fine folks at IRM

Yes, I too have been reading them.

They do an excellent job on tellling the history of the largest railroad museum in the United States.

#199 and 200 are a study of the the museums acquissions down through the years.
The photography is wonderful in them a lot of it in color!
