Salem, NY Depot gets some TLC *pic*

The 1906 D&H Depot in Salem, NY received new protectant roof covering in April of this year. Even up close it's hard to tell exactly what the material is...anyone know for sure? The depot appeared in an online story on the NTHP's web site in October of last year. http://www.preservationnation.org/magaz ... -1906.html

It is great to see effort going into preserving this station. When the Battenkill was still running excursions several years ago they were using this station for ticket sales.
The station at the PanAm/B&M interchange in Eagle Bridge is also intact as and I have been told that it is also owned by the Battenkill. However, I cannot confirm that veracity of that statement. It would be great to see both of the stations preserved. However, progress at Salem is certainly encouraging!
For those of you who are not familiar, the Battenkill is an amazing little railroad serving Washington County, New York. They serve a few businesses along their ex. D&H Washington Branch and ex. Greenwich & Johnsonville lines. Motive power is provided by two RS-3s which are serviced at the enginehouse in Greenwich.

Jeff, the owner of the Salem Tavern (directly behind the depot in the picture), tells me there's supposedly a twin to this station, located in Rupert, VT. I've been spending quite a bit of time in Rupert lately, and have been hunting around -but have yet to find it.
The depot in Cambridge, NY is real beauty too, not sure who owns it.
