She looks to be in decent shape with a fairly new looking shelter.

Seriously, there are a lot of bird droppings on the locomotive. She also appears to have all of her lagging. With the cover, a good cosmetic restoration would really make her shine.

Was that your photo? I forgot to mention it came through on my Flicker feed. I think the shelter is a good step. Maybe they need anti bird spikes on the beams?

Yes it was, taken on October 20. I don't know how it ended up on Flickr. I posted a short piece about it on the Hicks Car Co blog. Oh well.

Anti-bird spikes would be nice step. Overall, not in bad shape, and I'm glad to see her under cover.

I've been down to see the locomotive a few times since I moved to Nashville. For a stuffed and mounted she's in pretty fair shape. Occasionally I hear rumblings of a restoration (to operation) around here but they seem to be the typical foamer fair.
