All,

Follow the above link to my pictures from the East Broad Top’s annual Fall Spectacular Weekend held a few weeks back.

A time machine to the past, hopefully as you look at this collection you will find little evidence that these photographs were taken in 2010 and not 1956 when the EBT ceased operations.

Click on “slideshow” at the top right of the screen.

Enjoy,
Matthew

Matthew,

Spectacular pictures! I would advise everyone to use the "slideshow" button, for maximum enjoyment!

If someone had told me that you had captured these wonderful pictures over a period of five years on a 200-mile railroad, I would have said "very nice." The fact that you did it over a much shorter period on a much shorter railroad calls for a "WOW!" Great pictures and a wonderful reminder of what a national treasure the EBT is.

WOW! A fantastic photo essay that captures a whole lot more than just 3/4 runby shots. It truly has the feel of 1956. Nice work and nice presentation. I think capturing the feel of a bygone era in a series of photos is an important part of preservation.

It is refreshing to see somebody shares an entire slide show from a charter. So often I get the feeling of "sole possession" of the photos taken on charters. As many cameras as are present, it sure seems that only a very few shots get shared publicly. Thanks for sharing that essay.

Just phenomenal - if you were there on the say day shooting pics, be forewarned! LOL.

Wonderful photos! Though I spend a lot of time there, it's refreshing to see the EBT through someone else's eyes, seeing what they find interesting. You even made that old truck/plow heap look interesting.
