Hello People.
First of all, let me say how great it is to finnaly be a part of this website. Iv kept up with it from time to time and finnaly got around to joining.

But this is no just "Howdy" message.

Former SP/ now GVRR 4-6-0 2248(a local engine to me as it is barley a 30minute drive) is officialy back up and running! While I don't have video of the very first test run, I do have video of its first passenger run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGxxf7Muj68

again, let me say how awesome it is to finnaly be here. I look forward to it.

Glad to see her up and running, once again. Thanks for the update.

I would be interested in the repair procedures they used to fix her.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Second Tom's motion, and raise you two chips.

I had a ticket to ride the cab of 2248 back in May. That morning, they had trouble with the fireman side injector and then had trouble getting oil from their tank car to the tender.

At 11:00 train time, their Geep left the station pulling the train to Ft. Worth and passed "Puffy" who was about ready to go. The steam crew all looked a bit shocked that they were staying home. They would have been ready by 11:10 at the latest.

I then heard one of the crew members explain how UP has a small window of time the GVSRR train can cross their tracks. If they miss the window, they cannot cross.

Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. I was also quite shocked the steam crew and others were not communicating with each other to know who was doing what.
