For those whom don't frequent Trainorders.com or any other forum, I wanted to come over and let everyone know that the 1922 Polson Logging Co. # 70 (Ex-Rayonier #70) had its first steam up to 100psi on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 2pm. She was brought up to steam nice and slow and shut down until Saturday where she was brought up to its 180psi limit. With some minor things to work on and finish up, along with the test runs, she may make an appearance on the Snowball Express trains in December or in April 2011 on the Easter Bunny trains. 1. Picture of the Polson # 70 2. Fire in the belly of the beast. 3. A look at the tender.

Next on the project list is the 1929 Hammond Lumber Co. # 17 for its 1472 inspection/tear down. |

Mt Rainer Scenic never ceases to amaze me with their beautiful, and frequent, steam restorations. Just last year they finished up the Williamete. They must have one heck of a talented shop crew. Congrats on another beautiful restoration. Matt |

Last time I saw that engine the boiler was marked for ultra-sound testing. Good to see it alive. Congradulations. |
