Little River Railroad
Steam Locomotive #110
100th Birthday Celebration
July 15, 16, 17, 2011

Celebrate Locomotive 110’s one hundredth birthday with the Little River Railroad in Coldwater, MI.

110 was custom built in November of 1911 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the original Little River Railroad in Townsend, TN. This one of a kind locomotive saw service as a logging and passenger engine until 1940 when it was sold to the Smoky Mountain Railway. After serving with the Smoky Mountain until about 1955, it was abandoned in Shook’s Gap, TN. In 1972 Terry Bloom bought 110 and after 2 ½ years of restoration work, the current Little River Railroad was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) corporation and has been operating 110 ever since. In the 35 years since being restored, 110 has pulled over 200,000 passengers and traveled over 300,000 miles in 3 states.

Along with locomotive 110, there will be many other locomotives operating as well, they include:

Little River Railroad 1 0-4-0 Vulcan Tank Engine Built 1908

Flagg Coal Co. 75 0-4-0 Vulcan Tank Engine Built 1930

Viscose Co. 6 0-4-0 Baldwin Tank Engine Built 1925

Gramling Locomotve Works Surprise Visitor!!!!

Locotive 110 will be pulling all day trips to Hillsdale, MI and back on Friday and Saturday while the other engines will be pulling multiple trains to Quincy, MI and back. On Sunday we will have trips featuring all the locomotives pulling the entire train together!

We will also have other steam powered machines like tractors. Motor Car rides and Pump Car rides as well.

Help us celebrate 100 great years with a great locomotive and support our effort to keep it running for many years to come for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Please check our website http://www.littleriverrailroad.com for updates and schedules.

That's way cool! ^_^

All the little steamers from Trainfest 2009 reunited again. I'm already looking forward this even next year.
